At what age should a child start wearing earrings?

For children's healthy development, it is recommended that their ears be pierced from the age of 4. Before this age, the ear is not yet fully formed and ready to receive a piece of jewellery. Before having your child's ears pierced, make sure that it is really his or her wish and establish a dialogue with him or her to explain the procedure. Once these conditions have been met, we strongly recommend that you first turn to a professional jeweller to pierce your child's ears. Lobe piercing is not a trivial procedure and requires compliance with hygiene standards. A qualified piercer will be able to carry out this procedure with the right tools for the child's health, and will be able to advise you on the procedure and on healing after piercing.
